Bathe in a shower of soothing tones

A sonic environment will be created using a variety of instruments including quartz crystal bowls, gong, ocean drum, and rain stick, along with vocal toning. Every sound journey is unique as it is an intuitive process requiring deep sensitivity as to what is needed and the choice of sounds used. The instruments are played around you, over you, and sometimes on you, so you can feel the vibrations of the instruments. The constant sounds incites a deep relaxation and letting go of the density of the physical body. The tones act as keys to unlock denser energy held within the physical, emotional, etheric bodies and the unconscious mind. Relax, enjoy, and bathe in a shower of soothing tones.

Led by: Special guest, Patricia Norton

The catalyst for Patricia’s journey as a sound healer was inspired by her love for the earth, nature, and being of service to others. Also from many sojourns to India where she was immersed in the power of Vedic chant. It is her passion to help people relieve stress and create a journey to a place where the mind is empty and the Sound is full, unlocking the emotions held within your memory, thus, balancing the body, mind and spirit.

Create healing.

with Sudevi Linda Kramer M.A., L.M.T.
Vedic Thai Massage-Assisted Yoga is traditionally performed on a large comfortable cotton futon floor mat which gives the receiver both comfort and full-body support. Working on the floor also allows the therapist to move freely around and above the client, making for effective use of the therapist’s bodyweight and mechanics. The therapist can also work with the receiver in a variety of positions, including prone, supine, side-lying, and seated.
In a Vedic Thai Massage-Assisted Yoga session you will wear loose-fitting or stretchy clothing that allows your body to move.No oils are needed. The techniques used work far beneath the surface of the body, effecting the deeper layers of the muscles and skeleton.
After the completion of this two-day Thai Yoga Bodywork course, participants will have the foundation for giving a classic 90-minute session. We will work in supine, prone, side-lying, and seated asanas. All participants will receive hands-on assistance, as well as a course manual to take home.

Learn: Beautiful sequences of exotic stretches and Thai Bodywork techniques, also known as assisted Yoga. Thai Bodywork is marma therapy and synthesizes acupressure, rhythmic compressions, ancient breathing arts and meditation to produce profound rest and rejuvenation. Mantras for the marmas and chakras will also be included.

Study: A 3000-year old traditional Southeast Asian Folk Art, which creates inspired tranquility and radiant whole health.

Experience: Simple procedures to assist in rapidly eliminating dis-ease, both physical and emotional.

Enjoy: Strengthened vitality through bhandas, pranayamas, and meditation techniques for personal focus and effect.

Discover: How to balance and harmonize Shakti/Chi to enhance immune system and hormonal health, balance mental energy, and stimulate higher levels of consciousness.

Suitable for Yoga Instructors, Athletes, Nurses, Massage Therapists, Personal Trainers, Martial Artists, Medical Professionals, Health-Enthusiasts, Musicians, Dancers and all interested in dynamic vitality and loving compassion (Metta).

Sudevi Linda Kramer is a highly sought-after Vedic Conservatory certified teacher of Thai-Yoga Bodywork, studying in Thailand and training closely with Mukti Michael Buck. She is certified in Integral and Jivamukti Yoga and was sudevi kramer thai yoga therapygraced by Sri Swami Satchidananda and Yoga masters Sharon Gannon and David Life. Sudevi was inducted into the World Massage Hall of Fame at Berea College in June 2010. Sudevi serves as the Yoga Director for the Vedic Conservatory.

“Sudevi is the real deal. Her presence initiates a magical spiritual journey intermingled with true rejuvenation and cellular healing. Her classes hold a special light that leave you feeling new again. Sudevi’s hand’s-on instruction is simple and complete — you get home and you can actually give a session without the DVD, and even though you are wowed by her mastery – you are even more wowed that you can do it too. She takes the confusion out of sequencing. I take her classes as often as I can— even after I’ve met my ce requirements — and some block, some something is always lifted and the world seems brighter.” ~Shawn M. Brinza, LMT, aka “The Massage Gypsy.”

“Sudevi’s presence is amazing and I would recommend taking any and every form of yogic study with her. Her love of yoga, meditation, and mantra are a big part of this work. I was able to apply the principles and produce the work for a change! Some teachers are razzle dazzle and you have to keep coming back to “Get it.”Sudevi is a born teacher, and the art is pranically transmitted and skillfully imparted. She has a calming presence and a relaxed easy manner. The peace I experienced is now part of my life and practices. ~Tana Trichel, Monroe, LA, Yoga Student.

website for host studio: http://glow-yoga.com

Phase II curriculum focus is on voice coaching, class sequencing, methodology, principles of teaching, business of yoga, establishing your power and authenticity as a teacher, and how to teach to all levels. During this week you will have several opportunities to teach live to your peers and program leaders, while receiving feedback full in growth. After completing Phase II, you will be ready to lead others and teach yoga to various levels.

Students will immerse more deeply into assisting techniques, and apply practical anatomy methods into the class room by understanding the differences within the body and how it relates to yoga. Philosophy will be discussed related to ancient yoga texts, and how these philosophical understandings can translate into classroom yoga teaching. The sequence training will be completed with mastering how to teach an inspiring all-levels class. As the theme of our trainings is “Live it to Give it”, we will use methods of Matrika yoga to recognize the reflections we carry, and empower ourselves to lead the change we wish to see.

Here at Sid Yoga we understand that you have to “Live It To Give It!” Get ready to be empowered and open up to going beyond! We look forward to walking every step along the way with you! Peace.

Parking

Located conveniently in a lot at the studio site.
Eateries and Groceries

There are a number of amazing restaurants and food options in the Gulf Shores area and we recommend you eat local (seafood ofcourse)! For groceries there are several small markets (Blalocks, Fresh Market, Billy’s open air seafood market) and large grocery stores including Publix, Walmart and Target within 5 to 10 miles of the studio..

Weather & Clothing

The weather is typically mild in December on the Gulf Coast but can get chilly. Please review the weather forecast before attending your training sessions to know what to pack and wear. All training hours will be indoors. During program, plan to wear sportswear acceptable for practicing yoga (wicking material, no cotton) and bring layers to cover up during seated discussion or partner work. There are often 1-2 yoga asana practices throughout the day, so we recommend bringing at least two changes of yoga clothes.

Accommodations

We recommend staying in a condominium or beach house on the lagoon, bay or gulf while you are here. Vrbo.comkaiserrealty.com and meyerre.com are great booking sites to find the perfect home away from home for your stay. The studio is located in the heart of Gulf Shores so best areas to stay are in Gulf Shores or Orange Beach. There are a few hotels in town as well. Sid Yoga does not have a group rate set up at a specific hotel, we find that our participants tend to prefer to make their own arrangements. At your request and consent, we will inform you of other out-of-town participants with whom you can contact and discuss sharing rooms, booking a group house.
