Led by Sid McNairy, legendary Yogi, Coach and Mentor, this retreat will focus on connecting the spiritual practice of Yoga with Native American teachings in the Zen-like environment of Sedona MAGO Retreat in Arizona.
Empowerment & Beyond is about helping people find their own power by looking within themselves. As your guide to personal empowerment, this retreat will help you evaluate where you are on your path and change your thought patterns to create positive changes in your life. Through self study, deeper yoga practice and meditation, and community support you will achieve personal empowerment within yourself and find a deeper connection to your heart so that you will know how to actively live in peace, love, and abundance under any circumstance.

This retreat is based on the book, “Empowerment & Beyond: A 6-week self study yoga program practicing reflection, wisdom, and peace”, written by Sid McNairy.

Tuition for your retreat includes 3 nights of lodging and all of your meals at Sedona MAGO. Your $200 non-refundable deposit is applied to your tuition:
- Triple Occupancy (3 Double Beds): $200 + $900, total tuition= $1,100
- Double Occupancy (2 Double Beds): $200 + $1,300, total tuition= $1,500
- Single Occupancy (1 Double Bed): $200 + $1,500, total tuition= $1,700
Arrival & Departure Deadlines:
Please plan on arriving at Sedona-Mago Retreat Center by 3:00 pm on Thursday, March 13th so you can check in and have dinner. The introduction with Sid will start promptly at 7:00 pm. The retreat will conclude at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 16th.

- Location: Sedona sits approximately 125 miles north of Phoenix and 2 hours and 20 minutes south of the Grand Canyon
- Flight arrangements: The most convenient airport to get to Sedona Mago Retreat Center is Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). When arranging your flight time consider that it will take 2.5 to 3 hours by car or airport shuttle to travel from Phoenix airport to Sedona Mago Retreat.

Yoga For Athletes: Improve Your Game Workshop: Saturday, 3/22, 1:00pm – 3:00pm
An athlete’s game is more than a physical challenge. This workshop will target the athlete from the inside out, exercising both the mind and the body.

An empowering process for those wanting to teach yoga in your community and world. Are you a current yoga teacher looking to master your skills, or a yoga student seeking to delve deeper in your practice? Our weeklong trainings are a great opportunity to capture these goals. This program composes the first part of 200hour teacher training.

You can choose to bring your meals with our, or go to a store. Recommended places to eat are Turnip Truck, whole foods, Tavern Midtown, Taco Mamacita’s, Edgehill cafe, and Zumi’s sushi.
Weather & Clothing
Depending on the time of year, the weather in Nashville can vary from hot & sunny summers to cold and snowy winters. Please review the weather forecast before attending your session to know what to pack and wear. All training hours will be indoors. During program, plan to wear sportswear acceptable for practicing yoga (preferably no cotton, just wicking materials) and bring layers to cover up during seated discussion or partner work. There will most likely be 1-2 yoga asana practices throughout the day, so we recommend bringing at least two changes of yoga clothes.

What the weekly meetings entail: Dynamic discussions and sharing on the week’s relative topic of study. We have interactive group sharing and group activity to practice these areas of empowerment in your daily life.

It is a personal 6-week guide for anyone seeking a positive change in their life by transcending negative thought patterns and finding both physical and spiritual strength. Empowerment & beyond brings out the spiritual practice of Power Yoga. This timeless program asks that you commit to your yoga practice, meditation, mindful eating and shifting your life.
- Weekly group meetings led by Sid will occur on a teleconference call session. When you register for the program you will receive the teleconference call phone number to access the group call.
